Quality Inspector/Tester – Norcross

Prepares Quality evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, makes recommendations for and initiates improvements for product, test equipment, procedures, and manufacturing or operating processes that improve productivity and quality and reduce flow time.
Evaluates opportunities for defect prevention and implements preventive corrective actions.

Experience/Education:
Preferred AS degree in Electronics

3+ years experience in electronics testing.

Skills/Responsibilities:
Must have mechanical skills to diagnose typical hardware removal and replacement activities.

Ability to diagnose wiring and harnessing issues.

Ability to diagnose/inspect mechanical enclosures.

This intermediate-level professional is a qualified individual producer who applies a broad knowledge of technical concepts, practices and Quality procedures.

Test and inspect various items of electronic equipment that has been produced within the manufacturing environment.

Provide production support in response to field trouble reports and monitor production application performance.

Performs testing of product and follows detailed test procedures to perform all required testing. Tests incoming product-include physical inspection. Meets individual and department production goals.

Proactive, team player to work with Production to test and troubleshoot electronic enclosures.

Develops test procedures and performs routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work to assure product manufacturability.

Provides technical assistance in appropriate manufacturing and inspection areas.

Characterizes and implements proper controls on all processes.

Interacts with design agencies, suppliers, and internal organizations to assist in resolving design, development, production, and acceptance issues.
